@wynrosei You’d send a postal order in a stamped addressed envelope to the venue and hope that when you got it back in the post it had a ticket and not the postal order returned because it was sold out
@JonathanEley I’m one of those responders you seem keen to dismiss. The triple lock may well be unsustainable but spouting figures so removed from reality is not the way to conduct a serious discussion and only stokes inter-generational conflict that does nobody any good
@DesmondSwayne Complete and utter rubbish. I was also born in 1956 and the only benefits I’ve ever received has been my pension for the last four years - I’d have to live a long time to get £300,000 that way (and i paid a lots of taxes over the last 50 years too!)
@chicfryrice Of course not and I have never called anybody that. I get all the problems but stoking inter-generational conflict is not good for anybody. Do you agree?
@justaphag6@CreativeDeduct But if they downsize they will be purchasing the very properties that younger people have to buy because they can’t afford the more expensive properties retired people live in.
@annaroseridgway With most of that “million” tied up in the value of their property so not accessible for day-to-day spending. ie not really millionaires at all
