If there was a large enough discrepancy that could be enough for a "public" trial of sorts. Cancel culture CAN be used for good.

@sumabuk @strictlysaturn industry has consistently tried to make climate change a consumer problem. They have moralized it in order to deflect blame/ regulation. Unless we legislate, regulate demand industry changes, nothing the consumer does will ever be enough. Please make changes, but demand them 2

But metal straws, reusable bags and eat lentils for the rest of our lives, and we would still have a crisis. Because industry is the top polluter.

@sumabuk @strictlysaturn For example, I eat about 70% non meat and about 50% vegan. That means that the meat I do eat I source from local environmentally sustainable sources. Did that chicken cost me 10.00? Yes, but I eat so little of it that it doesn't matter.

For climate change, I think the focus needs to be on reduction and responsibility. Reduce the meat consumption, that way you can source the little you do responsible
