Today, at the 2025 International Youth Day Summit organised by the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, I reminded our young people that our future lives in them.

Our administration’s commitment to our youth is clear. We will continue creating spaces, programmes, and opportunities that empower you to lead, innovate, and thrive.

Through the THEMES+ agenda, we have placed youth empowerment and social inclusion at the centre of our work. From initiatives like the Amplifier Business Clinic and Pitch Contest, which provide mentorship, training, and financial support, to international exposure programmes such as the Lagos State Youth Study Tour to Queen’s University in Canada, we are opening doors for you to learn, grow, and contribute.

Today, I celebrate our young people. I celebrate your creativity, resilience, and drive. You are the heartbeat of Lagos.

Lagos thrives because of you, and together we will keep building a greater Lagos.

I am immensely proud of Team Lagos for their outstanding performance at the 9th National Youth Games in Asaba, where they finished first on the medals table with a total of 110 medals; 52 gold medals 32 silver and 26 bronze.

Our young athletes, together with their coaches and the Lagos State Sports Commission, have made history and demonstrated the strength of Lagos in sports.

In the coming days, I look forward to hosting the team to celebrate this remarkable achievement.

Congratulations, Team Lagos. We are very proud of you all.

Today we received delivery of our 1st PlayStation PS5 Slim game at the Youth House Gaming Area. We already have snooker, Table Tennis, and will be introducing multiple PlayStation game cubicles, Xbox and other fun activities so that the center truly serve its purpose as a place for networking, relaxation and strategy development and implementation for young progressives. Our podcast studios and training rooms will also be available for our members to leverage. We want to be an enabler.

Today I received my Predecessor - Hon Ismail Ahmed @IsmaeelAhmedB at the Youth House. We were also joined by the one and only Hajia @KemPatriot. We discussed the issues around the future of our party and how we must work together to restore the faith of the youth in our party. I look forward to working with them to implement our new strategic plan for the youth wing. #spreadinggreatness

In April 2023, I spoke the dream on twitter and was mocked for it. In April 2025, it became a reality and in July 2025 we will open it to the world by the Grace of God. The vision is for an appointed time, wait for it, it would speak - Habbakuk 2:3 reminds us that while a vision may not be immediately fulfilled, it will come to pass at a divinely appointed time. It emphasizes patience and faith, suggesting that even if the vision seems delayed, it will eventually be realized

Happy Sunday! The Governor of Edo State received us yesterday in Benin, after we left Kaduna. We then headed to Agbor in Delta State from Benin together to receive thousands of PDP Decampees. We returned to Edo yesternight, and Abuja this morning, our 5th state in 72 hours. We are on a mission to spread the renewed hope message across Nigeria. Greetings from Lagos now.
