Ridiculous of the British Museum to remove the word 'Palestine" from its displays, when it has a greater antiquity than the word "British". The first reference to Palestine is on the Egyptian monument of Medinet Habu in 1186BCE. The first reference to Britain is the 4th century BC when it appears in the work of the Greek traveler Pytheas of Massalia.
@a_bricca Congratulations on the delivery of this excellent project! I'm curious if you have any thoughts on why the per protocol analysis showed a smaller effect than the ITT. Did poor adherers still benefit?
Less than 3 weeks before it's due to be debated, Kim Leadbeater MP has finally published the text of her assisted suicide bill. It's 38 pages long, has 43 clauses and 6 schedules. MPs will have a maximum of five hours to debate it. https://t.co/Hmn1sZW8gV
The National Screening Committee has already reviewed the case for prostate cancer screening in the UK and concluded that the PSA test has too many limitations to be used as in a screening programme. The case of Sir Chris Hoy is tragic but it should not drive government policy.
This is a war crime. We must not continue arming the monstrous government that performed this atrocity.
@Keir_Starmer what sort of human rights lawyer are you that looks at this & merely shrugs?
@DavidLammy how can you live with yourself when you know what you know but do nothing?
Who puts the 'sin' in '#sintaxes'?
Who influences our so-called 'free choice' to consume unhealthy products? 🍔🍻🎰🚬
Some thoughts on this, and individual-blaming by industry, in a guest blog for @YHADPH 👇

@DellAnnaLuca Consider how the data is generated too.
For example: cases might overreport cumulative use if they believed the exposure (phone use) caused their cancer.
Epidemiology is messy, "apparent risks" can fool us and (when small) don't justify the resources for further investigation
@DellAnnaLuca Logically you'd be right if the data were perfect measures.
The judgements of risk consider the quality of the metrics and how they are measured. E.g. magnitudes and directions of bias of the measurements in validation studies.
@DellAnnaLuca Authors didn't think it was plausible enough. Risk summary was based on the totality of evidence not that study or metric alone. E.g. Other measures of usage (number of calls) showed no risk in top decile. Small effects likely to present by chance with lots of statistical tests.
Dear BBC, just a reminder that so far Reform hasn’t won any seats. None. Zero. Nada. Meanwhile @TheGreenParty doing well. Look forward to you inviting them on to get their opinion as winners rather than losers…
The amount of coverage given to the Green Party, who have so far won 159 seats in these elections, compared to Reform UK, who have won two, has been quite something
