Our crews have completed all the necessary repairs, and power has been restored to customers affected by the recent storms in Las Vegas. We understand the challenges and disruption that extended outages can cause, and we appreciate the ongoing patience and support while our crews worked tirelessly to make repairs.

“We’ve done a lot over the decades to improve on safety in the workplace itself...But we kind of missed that other side — how people are doing in their regular life and the struggles they bring to work." https://t.co/73wte2C61z
Meet Tali Kavapalu, Journeyman Lineman at #NVEnergy ⚡:
As a journeyman lineman, I am constantly monitoring our system to ensure that power is always available to our customers. I do everything from setting up the job plan to making sure that everybody is safe and makes it home at the end of the day. My favorite part of my job is being able to give back to the community that I grew up in.
Once while working during a storm, a child came up to me and thanked me for the work that I was doing to keep his power on. This was a full circle moment for me, knowing that my work impacts the lives of the people in my community!

NV Energy’s new pre-apprentices recently began their training on how to climb power poles. This is a fundamental skill for them to learn as part of their journey to having a career as a lineman, metering electrician or substation electrician.
