Shout out to @WCVB photographer Ted Cooper! We pulled over on our way back from a story because he saw a car on fire. A construction worker passing by broke the car window and pulled the driver to safety. Ted and others helped carry the woman away from the fire.
A 9 year old. A journalist. Both killed near an Orlando crime scene where a woman was found shot to death. The pain and poise from this reporter in the midst of this horror is beyond words and truly heartbreaking
This is a horrible event. Our hearts go a out to all the families of these victims. This is yet another story where a young man with a gun in America takes it upon himself to devastate innocent families for no damn good reason. When will politicians grow a spine?

@HearstUnion@Hearst Unfortunately, that's the way they operate at all bargaining tables. No consideration for the workers and dragging things out as long as they can. We just concluded a 19 month negotiation with HEARST in Boston and although it was very frustrating we finally got a good contract.
This is what all reporters, photogs and viewers are thinking when these assignments are launched. Please stop. If your producers and news anchors are telling folks to stay out of the cold then why are you forcing your staff to do the opposite? Don't you believe your weather folks?
I donโt know who needs to hear this but thereโs literally no reason why companies that doubled their profits during the pandemic canโt afford to give paid sick leave to the workers who make it all possible.
Yesterday, a community member captured the moment our unionized friends at 29th & Willamette in Eugene, OR marched on the boss and walked out on strike.
The grievances cited included unfair dress coding, misogynistic comments, abusive behavior, and health code violations.
Thinking of all the news photographers and live truck operators sent out in this nonsense. If you are telling the public to stay home you should protect your workers and their families as well. Enough of the macho reporter egos!
Measured 50โ snowfall at 630 pm in Hamburg, NY outside the gas station along I90. Found a unimpeded flat area with wind coming from right side of this image. There are areas with more but I could not burrow far enough to reach those locations. @accuweather@NWSBUFFALO@JLAngeline
This! This is the reality families are facing.
Most everyone knows what Bernie is say is how we arrived at the economy we are living in. Not the BS that is being peddled by political candidates and their pac's. Don't be fooled again!
