This chart from PwC's 28th Annual Global CEO Survey is truly eye-catching. It highlights how German CEOs are surprisingly pessimistic about their own country yet overly optimistic about the global economy. They predict that Germany will enter its 3rd consecutive year of recession—a first in the country’s econ history. On the other hand, 72% of German CEOs expect the global economy to grow this year, compared to just 58% of CEOs outside Germany who share this optimism.
