From 1 July 2026, the IMO’s new International Code for Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS Code) becomes effective.

It’s still non-mandatory at this stage, but it sets the global benchmark for ships operating with remote control or autonomous functions.

Key questions the industry must answer in the next 2–3 years:

1. How will this change minimum safe manning and training requirements?
2. What does it mean for Indian officers and ratings, new skills or new roles?
3. Will we see more hybrid crewing models before full autonomy?

Following intensive talks, we are pleased to announce that the Peace Deal between the United States of America and Islamic Republic of Iran has been REACHED. Both sides have declared the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon.

The official signing ceremony will be on Friday, 19 June in Switzerland.
