Embrace new changes and challenges! These will undoubtedly turn you into the person you want to be in the future. Don’t fear people’s opinions and insults. It is normal as we are creations that have emotions for different situations.
The Bible and Qur’an emphasizes that “what comes in the dark will come to light.” This means whatever you wish to hide will eventually be exposed in either this world or the afterlife. Whatever sin that you may be privately or publicly doing, start today to stop doing the action.
Connect with your Allah. That doesn’t mean only the 5 daily prayers. It can also consist of sitting by yourself and speaking with your Lord anything that is in your mind and heart. Allah is with us no matter where we are. Allah is closer to us than our jugular vein -Qur’an 50:16.
Being born as a Muslim doesn’t mean you have an automatic entrance to Heaven. You have to strive for Heaven because Allah(SWT) placed us in this world to test us on whether we are worthy to enter Heaven.
Strive to be the best. Be the man/woman you want to be in the future. You mess up…don’t call quits, but take it as a lesson for yourself and try to capitalize on that mistake. Think of these situations as like you failed an exam, and you are working hard to pass the next exam!
Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "The person who is strong is not strong because he can knock people down. The person who is strong is the one who controls himself when he is angry."
Smile, it's Sunnah! Be Happy!
The 5 pillars of Islam (in order) are Shahadah, Salah, Zakat, Hajj, and Fasting. Islam is easy to follow, yet humans will make excuses to please themselves for what this temporary world offer. Enjoy this world to the fullest, but keep in mind of the pillars you have to abide to.
Do not worry about the folks around you, thinking that they have some thoughts about you. In reality, they are worried about how they are going to pay their bills or how to exceed in their workplace or academics. Just be yourself and try your best whichever situation you are in.
Ask Allah(SWT) for forgiveness, but do not think that because you said استغفرالله it is immediately wiped away. The key is that you ask Allah(SWT) for forgiveness and make the intention of not returning back to the sin.
Be grateful in any situation you are in whether it may be that you are happy, sad, angry, or unsure. Say الحمدلله as much as you can just like how we are advised to say it 33 times after our daily prayers. الحمدلله Allah(SWT) made it easy to praise him.
Neglecting the Hereafter leads the heart toward dunya-centered living, and that path can end in Jahannam. When accountability is forgotten, guidance is easily replaced by desire and distraction.
