My prayers are with every family grieving in Nuristan, Afghanistan after the flash floods.

Natural disasters cannot be prevented. Human abandonment can.

The Taliban have repeatedly failed Afghans during earthquakes, floods, and humanitarian crises. Every government considering engagement with them should remember this.

You can help by supporting trusted relief organizations, amplifying the voices of Afghans on the ground, and demanding that humanitarian assistance reaches the people…not the regime.

Every government considering engagement with the Taliban should pay close attention to Badakhshan. Even the brief loss of a district center is another reminder that Afghanistan remains unstable under Taliban rule. Legitimizing this regime will not bring peace… it will only prolong the conflict.

My prayers are with the innocent children and civilians wrongfully arrested by the Taliban in the aftermath. A regime that fears its own people will always imprison the innocent before confronting the truth.

Long live the brave men and women standing up for their rights and for the dream of a free Afghanistan governed by its people, not by terrorists.
