We have acquired four (4) state-of-the-art fire engines to boost response to emergencies and the fight against fire disasters.
Join me tomorrow as we officially launch and put them into use.
Kilifi is a cosmopolitan county, and my government recognises this diversity by continuously engaging with leaders from different communities on issues that concern us all as a community.
I was greatly honoured to preside over the launch of a deposit-taking financial institution, Funguo Yetu Sacco Cooperatives Limited Saturday 8th July 2023, at Joy Fellowship Ministries in Majengo Kanamai, Mtepeni Ward.
Private sector engagement and collaboration is an integral part of our development plan as it creates an opportunity through which we can activate the low-hanging fruits for the county around SME's Blue Economy, ICT, Water, Agriculture, and Education, among other areas.
Earlier today, Prof. Shaukat Abdulrazak, Director for Africa, International atomic energy agency (IAEA), paid me a courtesy call at my office.
We are collaborating with Prof to establish a cancer treatment facility at the Kilifi Refferal hospital.

I assented to the amendments to the Kilifi County Micro Finance (Wezesha Fund) Act 2016.
The amendments were, changing the name from Mbegu Fund to Wezesha Fund, establishing ward vetting committees and allowing for a financial institution to manage the fund.
We have also invested efforts in the water sector, a key pillar of my administration. We are working tirelessly into our first financial year to achieve sustainable sources of water for domestic use and irrigation to address the food crisis and rebuild our agriculture sector.

Under the leadership of H.E @GideonMungaroM, there is a strong commitment to reviving and optimizing all the irrigation schemes in Kilifi County. The aim is to ensure these schemes generate abundant yields, effectively meeting the nutritional requirements of the people of Kilifi.
@KilifiCountyGov is actively revitalizing the Mdachi irrigation scheme project in Jaribuni ward, Ganze, which holds immense potential to ensure an ample food supply for the residents of Ganze and Kaloleni sub-counties.
