Presco just paid a dividend. Before you spend it all, check the purification percentage on https://t.co/ly2GeJuwA4.
A stock can pass Shariah screening and still have a small portion of income from non-compliant sources.
That’s why purification is necessaryto remove the portion of your dividend that shouldn’t be retained as personal income.
Halal investing isn’t just about choosing halal stocks. You also need to understand purification.
Good morning my great friends 👏🏻
If you work with chemicals, machines, grinding tools, or anything that can send particles flying into the air, please wear proper protective eyewear.
I have seen patients from different companies rushed to the eye clinic after particles entered their eyes while they were working.
Your employer should provide proper protective equipment to protect your eyes and face.
Please take it seriously. If an eye injury affects your vision permanently, your company may replace you, but you are the one who has to live with the consequences.
Welcome to another week, no work or company is worth losing your sight.
Protect your eyes, my brother.

Woke up, pulled our 30-day analytics, and just stared at this screen.

I was going through https://t.co/MqOThIi20b page and realised something interesting: two companies can operate in the same industry and still have very different Shariah profiles.
In the NGX Oil & Gas sector, Aradel, Seplat and Japaul Gold pass the screening with purification, while Oando, TotalEnergies, Conoil and Eterna do not meet the screening thresholds.
It’s a good reminder that being in the same industry doesn’t automatically make stocks equally halal.
Do your research before investing.
“Is this stock Halal?”
I get asked this question ALL THE TIME! 😂
Some people say Seplat is not Halal.
Others ask, “What about MTN is it Halal?”
Check the Shariah screening yourself.
There’s a website you can use to check whether a stock passes the Shariah screening criteria.
Before you buy your next stock, check the verdict first.
Your money.
Your investment.
Your responsibility.

GTCO is one of Nigeria's largest and most respected financial services group. It has built a reputation for strong corporate governance, consistent profitability and long-term value creation for shareholders.
Given its prominence in the Nigerian capital market, it is natural that many Muslims want to know whether investing in its shares is compatible with Shariah principles.

Imagine asking a Muslim investor in an African country to identify Shariah-compliant listed companies. In many cases, there is no simple or readily available answer.
The investor may need to download lengthy annual reports, understand complex accounting standards, calculate financial ratios, interpret Shariah screening methodologies and monitor corporate announcements that could affect a company's compliance status.

If riba is prohibited, why does AAOIFI tolerate any amount of interest-related activity at all?
The answer lies in the realities of today's global financial system. In many countries, companies operate within environments where completely avoiding conventional banking relationships is extremely difficult.
Payroll services, trade finance, banking facilities and other commercial activities often involve some level of interaction with conventional financial institutions.

Every investor makes mistakes. What distinguishes successful investors is not perfection, but a willingness to learn, improve and remain disciplined.
Developing the habit of asking questions can transform the way you invest. It shifts the focus from simply pursuing profits to building wealth that pleases Allah.
