This is what Airbnb sent the previous host after they alerted Airbnb of the guest using false name, his real name, proof of drug use in the unit and very long arrest record. Airbnb knew ALL of this one week BEFORE he moved into our home. The actions they took were NO actions. They helped this felon continue to elude capture. They kept his account active and reservation active. They remained silent.

Notice to all Airbnb hosts: Airbnb is not properly verifying I.D.s as claimed in their terms and conditions. They are also not checking backgrounds even when presented with evidence of a dangerous felon, who is using a false name, using drugs and damaging property is using their platform. This is what the we received AFTER Airbnb the guest they allowed in our home was arrested. After our door was broken down by officers. After our home was contaminated with Fentanyl. They did nothing.

HIGH LEVELS OF FENTANYL FOUND IN OUR AIRBNB! Another day and no one, with any authority, will speak with us. We are now 30 days out of our home and all we get are copy paste emails from Support Team, Safety Team, Escalation Team. You broke your own terms and conditions by knowingly allowing a fugitive, wanted on weapons and drug charges, to move in and stay in our home. The previous host gave you ALL his info....real name, arrest records, the drugs he left in her home. You not only didn't cancel his account you allowed him to move in and stay without a single warning to us of a problem. After armed police broke down our door and arrested him you remain quiet. If the police didn't arrest him someone would have died in our home with the levels of fentanyl that was found. @bchesky do you not care people are dying because of your poor policies? It certainly seems like that is the case. Countless "Support Team" members that do not follow up. Safety Team, Claims Team, Escalations Team...all advise us to stand by as we will be contacted. No one from Airbnb reaches out to truly discuss the situation. It's maddening but I believe this is intended.

Another day and no response @Airbnb @bchesky @AirbnbHelp Where are you? Our home is contaminated and with meth and fentanyl. All of your "support teams" are worthless. Open and close a case before we can even reply. We only spoke with someone, hired by Airbnb, for testing and advised your "terms of agreement" says WE need to pay for cleaning and new furniture. That will be over $50k. NO CHANCE. You broke your own terms by allowing someone with a false name, drug use and many arrest charges to move in. Moreover you were complicit because you knew ALL of this DAYS BEFORE he moved in. You didnt cancel his account. You allowed a dangerous felon to stay in our home right next to the school until armed officers broke down the door. Let's talk about your real failure that put us all in danger. Do the right thing and do something about this mess you created!

Where are you @Airbnb @bchesky @AirbnbHelp ? The previous host warned you the Airbnb guest, that stayed in her home, used false name, was using heroin, had a long list of weapons and drugs charges but you kept his account active and still allowed him to move into our home! You knowingly kept quiet the whole time he was there until the armed officers broke down our door. It has been almost a month and we cannot go home because our house tested positive for fentanyl and meth. You failed to protect us, our neighbors (we are steps from an elementary school, and our home. You continually open and close cases and we have not gotten anywhere! @AirbnbHelp Very nice to see how serious you now take our concerns. We have upwards of 50 emails to Airbnb that have gotten us nowhere in the past month. We have a home we cannot go back to because of person that should have never been allowed to be there.

Since 30+ emails/calls get no attn, let’s try this: Hey @bchesky @Airbnb @AirbnbHelp why did you allow a guest to move into, and stay, in our home knowing he using false name (and knew his real name), you knew his lengthy arms /weapons arrests record, that used heroin, at the last location? You never cancelled his account or notified us. The previous host gave your team all the evidence and you responded that you took appropriate measures prior to him moving in to ours. A team of armed police raided our home, broke down door and arrested him. You failed to protect us, our property and our neighbors (which includes an elementary school). Our home is now contaminated with fentanyl and meth. This has been nearly a month and we cannot go home!!! Your “support team” is worthless. What does it take to get your attention???
