This time of year comes with the obligatory change of profile picture. I thought I would use this opportunity also to re-introduce myself.
My name is Shola Adewale Sandy, and I am a passionate Educator and Maths teacher working in inner London schools.
Being an advocate for Equality, especially for Black staff members, it made sense to put my raw words down in the form of a 3-part memoir chanting my time in Education.
If you havenβt already got your copy of βICEβ, please follow the link below and keep your eyes and ears peeled for Book 2 coming out later this year!

My heart is filled with much joy and hope, looking back over the last year at our ICE & STEM Roundtable discussions, I just wanted to say a huge 'Thank you!' for all of YOUR continuous support!ππΏ
One quote that daily spurs me on from one of our attendees was,
'We are creating a lovely positive tribe, it felt like family!'
Upwards & onwards as we plan more such occasions this year, with of course the irresistible nibbles from our amazing sponsors!
#appreciation
Dressing as myself might not be a cool move to make today...
Can you imagine the looks I would get from my students!
Anyway, happy #WorldBookDay2026 , please support the cause by getting your copy of ICE!π

Standing firm in power and pride!
With the rise of the far right this is more important than ever!
Celebrating Black excellence, telling untold stories and building a society rooted in fairness, justice and equality. πβπΎ
About time an investigation was done about this terrible injustice!
Well done @alysharte for highlighting this crucial issue!ππΏ
The transcript for my employment tribunal case went 'missing' and this adversely affected the final judgement!
How can this be allowed to happen??
Lead story on @BBCRadio4 and front page of the news website - my latest investigation:
Courts service 'covered up' IT bug that caused evidence to go missing
Huge credit to our sources for speaking out in the public interest.

@BBCNews Great investigation, Alys!ππΏ
Unfortunately, I have been a victim of this & and no one seemed to care that it adversely impacted the final judgement in my emoloyment tribunal case!
Hopefully, this investigation will highlight this problematic issue...
