So happy this paper is finally out! Thanks to @KarlottaKuerzel and the team behind @IceAGE_RR, we can now figure out all the ins and outs of a genus that is dear to my heart, 𝘏𝘢𝘱𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘶𝘴, in the deep sea around Iceland!
Thanks to all who have followed our live dives through our IceDiva2-expedition. Today was our last dive for now, but if you didn't manage to view while we were live, or you want to see something again, check out https://t.co/yA8J18eags @Senckenberg@iAtlanticEU#DeepSea#benthos

Back up and ready for the next ofos dive down a seamount on this beautiful morning! Running a little behind schedule with in water time expected around 10:45 CET

That concludes our night-dive in sea-cucumber land at 3100m depth. Tomorrow we will again put the OFOS in the water for our last dive - at 09:30 CET - we will post the link here shortly before the dive. Stay tuned! Pic of the "sea of holothurians" as last view
Large piece of plastic litter observed during our ongoing dive. appr 3000m depth, and we would like to see living animals and no more litter. Sad sight.
This present dive at the abyssal plain has large patches of several holothurians (several also in one frame)... Why? Maybe it is the season for finding partners for them? Maybe they exchange gossip? We also see traces og them (and poop from them..) (join us - we are still live!)
We see much less litter on this dive than on previous dives this expedition. All is being logged in our new litter-map produced by @_MSchumacher_ - check it out! live updated right after OFOS dives! https://t.co/w8Bq3l5LpY
