a lil extra info: what segye truly said to seori was, “so just hide behind me, I'll protect you no matter what"
to which she replied “you are worse than him. you hurt me more by telling me to hide behind you like some fool” (1/2) #myroyalnemesis
ternyata bener ya, hidup ini jauh lebih tenang ketika kita tahu batasan. not everything needs our attention, not everything deserve our energy. ada hal-hal yang lebih baik dibiarkan berlalu, tanpa perlu didengar, dilihat, ataupun dibahas. cukup bodo amatin aja dan bye
He looks like... a knight who lost his war.
He tried. He tried so hard to fight it,
"Lust means letting desire control us"
"What if you can't stop it?"
"Then you fight it"
"Why fight it?"
Why...? That question echoed until he lost in his own battle.

This is INSANE cinematography if you get what I mean. At first the sign “god sees you always” and then Barth blocking it by watching Tanrak. Fucking hell.

my take on this (i havent read the novel so dont come with spoilers) is that barth definitely knows. going off of the fact he has had trouble sleeping ever since he transferred (besides the time at the pool with rak) he was awake the whole night. idk if he saw Exactly what happened but he definitely has a clue so the reason he is not following him is bc he knows how guilty tanrak must feel and he doesn’t want to make it worse by showing up at such vulnerable time for him. in case he didnt see what happened, wouldnt he just go and check on him? to see if hes okay? the reason he isnt is bc he knows his presence wouldnt help tanrak. the boy is slowly starting to open up to him and this would set him back if tanrak knew he saw him.
segye is the perfect example of why not every character needs to be boxed into the "green flag" or "red flag" category. people are flawed, emotional, and messy by nature, and that doesn't automatically make them a bad person #myroyalnemesis
