@JackPosobiec No doubt this is true. Wilson has paid off the SC Ethics Commission to keep from hearing his crimes so it doesn’t hurt his election. He needs to be investigated before elected so we don’t see him arrested should he be governor.
9 am - When you see that wall of fire in my previous post (pinned to the top of the feed), it’s astounding the homes didn’t burn down. Lots of siding damage to some homes in the Reserve at Walkers Woods but several residents, including the Bazinets, are extremely grateful to go back to a home after being evacuated several hours before dawn. A short thread: The reason these products are "illegal" is that @US_FDA unilaterally "deemed" them "tobacco products" in 2016, and demanded applications.
It received 30 MILLION APPLICATIONS and authorized only 7 devices, all made by Big Tobacco...

Decline in high school nicotine use:
Three whole decades: zero progress
2002-2012: 24% drop
2012-2024: 52% drop
Demonstrably false claims:
"Whole new generation addicted to nicotine"
"Vaping reversed decades of declines in tobacco use"
"Vaping is a gateway to smoking"
Are nicotine vapes an "effective" health intervention to reduce 490,000 US smoking-related deaths every year?
Logically: If they are (a) safer than cigarettes, (b) "efficacious" for cessation and (c) often used to quit smoking, then the answer is "yes."

So in South Carolina the @SCGOP is good with making #Kratom an item for adults 21+ but not life saving electronic nicotine delivery systems? E-cigs are under attack in SC not becuase of danger to anything but Big Tobacco profits. If you can regulate Kratom and it appeared many of you were fine with making it 21+ you can leave e-cigs alone and make them for 21+ in regulated stores and remove from unregulated stores.
@CitizenPtNewsSC@zimopouches So grab your popcorn and settle in, because this political drama is sizzling, and the stakes—like the smoke—are rising higher than ever!
@CitizenPtNewsSC@zimopouches Picture this: the political stage is set in South Carolina, where sweet tea flows and barbecue smoke fills the air. Enter Trump, the Republican hero, promising to rescue nicotine vaping with a flourish of his golden mane. But wait! Plot twist alert! The local Republican squad is
@CitizenPtNewsSC@zimopouches After all, these nifty devices are giving traditional smoking a run for its money. It's a classic showdown of innovation versus old-school influence, with a modern twist in the tale of tobacco!
@CitizenPtNewsSC@zimopouches So, why not flip the script? Instead of banning these vaping marvels, sprinkle a little regulation magic in the mix. Keep vaping products in check by ensuring they're only available in responsible, accountable vape shops.
@CitizenPtNewsSC@zimopouches But here's the juicy bit: I do believe these tobacco companies are violating the Master Settlement Agreement, and the Attorney General might be in on it too!
@CitizenPtNewsSC@zimopouches These tobacco bigwigs are in a pickle because smoking is at an all-time low, and their money train is derailing fast. So, what's their sneaky strategy? They want to pull the plug on the vaping scene by spinning tales to counter Trump's vaping mandates.
@CitizenPtNewsSC@zimopouches marching to a different beat, backed by the mysterious tobacco titans who are tossing cash like beads at Mardi Gras to sway decisions in their favor.
