Linguistic ability give a child capacities for self evaluation that their emotional development isn't even equipped to manage...

Id probably just try to reason with them while they learn language. Make the words tools for what they're already noticing

Assessments still emphasize language and academic over spatial reasoning. A kid building a whole world from mind in Minecraft is better than being able to read the word cat at a young age
