The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), one of the most important pillars of the U.S. securities market, is bringing tokenized representations of eligible assets onto @CantonNetwork.

Why does this matter?

DTC, DTCC’s depository subsidiary, held more than $114 trillion in securities in 2025. Now, @The_DTCC is exploring how these assets can benefit from blockchain technology without moving the underlying securities out of its custody.

And @CantonNetwork is built for exactly this kind of use case.

Its privacy-enabled infrastructure allows institutions to transact and coordinate while keeping sensitive financial information visible only to the relevant parties.

On July 15, 2026, DTCC completed its first live production trades involving tokenized representations, with more than 30 firms participating in workflows covering collateral pledges, securities lending, Treasury transactions, and equity settlement.

The next major milestone? 👀

DTCC has targeted the end of October 2026 for the commercial launch of its Tokenization Service.

This is about more than putting traditional assets on a blockchain. It’s about improving collateral mobility, enabling more efficient settlement, and connecting established financial markets to new digital infrastructure.

Wall Street doesn't need another speculative experiment. It needs technology that meets its real-world requirements.
