@SympLySimi False allegations carry heavy consequences; they ruin lives and undermine actual survivors. not just noise.
True activism demands accountability and structural solutions, not reckless outrage. Justice must be built on facts, not sentiment and noise.
@Olami_deeEbony False allegations destroy lives and undermine real victims. Justice requires due process, evidence, and investigation—not just outrage. True activism demands structural solutions and accountability, not noise. Justice must be based on facts, not sentiment.
Back in 2012, I met Seun kuti who had a sharp take on Nigeria's challenges. When I asked him for a solution to our problems, he said point-blank: Until we get ourselves organized, there's no way we can defeat these few old folks clinging to power. At the time, I didn't fully grasp what he meant by organized.
That clarity came after EndSARS. He revived his father's old political movement, MOP (Movement of the People), and explained that the protests were just the mobilization phase. True organization meant coming together regularly, meeting, strategizing, and building a solid structure to sustain the fight.
We reached out to all the EndSARS participants, inviting them to join. Just a few showed up for the inauguration. That's when it hit me that our youths only crave entertainment and viral moments, but real empowerment? They run from it.
