I am the 3rd generation of a story that should have ended in Poland in 1939, or in a Nazi concentration camp.
My grandfather Olek survived the Holocaust, concentration camps and death marches, only to die from a hand injury in Israel.
37 years later, my father died from a nearly identical injury.
I'm writing "When I Should Have Died." A memoir about the trauma we carry across generations, and how I'm breaking the echo for my children.
Daily posts about trauma, inheritance, and Israel.
Weekly Echo essays.

I started writing publicly from scratch at the end of November.
No audience. No migration. No guarantees.
I started with my father, a Holocaust survivor who lived under a false identity and carried a silence that did not end with him.
Today that writing crossed 1,000 subscribers.
I’m writing the book in public on Substack. No paywall.
Full work in the first reply.

🧵 2/3 @IdoSingerAuthor
“People say ‘But Hamas, Hamas, Hamas’ — I don't think people have any idea what Hamas is. Hamas built schools, public facilities, hospitals. It's critical you understand, when you think of Hamas, do not think of throat cutters, armed to the teeth, fighters. It's not like that...”
SHOCKING: Etsy is selling yellow Stars of David on its platform.
The online marketplace is selling pins, stickers, and badges with the yellow Star of David marked “Jude,” some even on a white and blue striped background reminiscent of the uniforms worn by Jews in Nazi concentration camps.
The price of our Jewish trauma? From €4 to €20.
The yellow star was not an accessory, it was a death sentence. Holocaust memory is not a product to be sold.
Italian MEP @isatovaglieri slams ‘Free Palestine’ activists for staying silent on massacres in Iran.
“The European pro-Gaza…remained silent in the face of the thousands of black body bags of corpses, to the mass executions…”
Charlie Kirk was a true defender of the Jewish people.
"Antisemitism is a brain rot that stops your ability to think, and you start blaming everything on a small group of people. That has no place in decent society."
His moral clarity is truly missed.
BREAKING: An Iranian exposes the Islamic Republic’s so-called “live” state TV broadcast — comparing it to the view of the same square outside his own window.
State TV shows massive crowds.
Reality? The square is empty.
Isn't it interesting how the people who say the Holocaust never happened also see Hitler as a hero?
Here's a hint to all you antisemites out there, if you don't want people to know you thought the Holocaust was a good thing, don't go around making it obvious that you can't stand Jews being alive.
