This morning, I announced the @StateDept’s Alliance for Afghan Women’s Economic Resilience, a partnership with @BU_Tweets. The U.S. is committed to the advancement of Afghan women’s entrepreneurship, employment, and educational opportunities in Afghanistan and around the world.
On #InternationalDayofPeace, we join the global community in committing ourselves to building a world where all people can flourish. We all have a role to play in fostering peace, and IEEW uses business as a tool to empower women and create more peaceful and prosperous societies.

During LD week, we visited Metanoia Wellness Suites, which hosts women-owned businesses focused on serving others on their journey of change through alternative & holistic health services.

Last week, the 2022 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting was held in Kigali. A # of our PTB grads participated. @UmuhozaB, a PTB grad who leads our Rwandan Alumni Association, had the privilege of translating for Prince Charles, who participated on behalf of the UK.

Last week, we had our 2nd PTB alumni networking call. Nearly 30 graduates joined to share their stories & discuss challenges they are experiencing. We love getting to provide a platform for feedback & problem solving & are inspired by what these women are overcoming to succeed.
One thing we love most about our program is the diversity of industries represented by our PTB students. The 2022 students are involved in industries ranging from fashion design to agriculture to construction. We're so proud of all of them!
