You and Everything Else was filmed in 2023, which was the most difficult period of my life for various reasons. In that sense, it was also a project that coincided with my own life. It was a story about friendship and about losing a friend, so I think that may have helped me focus even more on Eunjung’s emotions.

I wanted to face Eunjung’s emotions head-on, which is why I wanted to handle them with care, one by one. I hoped that Eunjung’s emotions wouldn’t be damaged because of me, and I wanted to unfold those feelings carefully.

It was an emotionally difficult project, so I worried about whether many viewers would watch it. But I felt relieved as someone who worked on the project because it seemed to have left a deep impression on the viewers who did watch it.

The Price of Confession was approached from a completely different angle than You and Everything Else. My role was relatively smaller, but it was also a project where I trusted senior actress Jeon Doyeon, and thanks to that, I was able to try the things I wanted to attempt. It was also a project that gave me an opportunity to release some of what I had been holding in.

Yumi’s Cells 3 is especially meaningful to me. I’ve been part of this series for five years, and it was a project that no one expected would make it all the way to a third season. We decided to make Season 3 with the intention of giving the fans who loved the Yumi’s Cells series a proper ending.

I wanted to end it on a high note, although I did worry that maybe doing it would be worse than not doing it at all. But I think we wrapped it up well, so the five years I poured into Yumi’s Cells feel even more precious and worthwhile now.

They’re very special to me because they were there from the beginning of my career, and they truly celebrated my Grand Prize win. Director Jung Jiwoo (Eungyo, Tune in For Love) told me, ‘Thank you. You’ve grown so well.’ Of course, winning the Grand Prize was wonderful but I was even happier and more grateful because I feel that I had become an actress who could receive such praise from him. < 🥹

Honestly because I was nominated for Best Actress at the BSA, I did have some expectations of winning. I even prepared a short acceptance speech beforehand just in case I went up on stage and made a mistake. However, Shin Haesun gave such an incredible performance and she won Best Actress. Tiger JK came out after that for a celebratory performance, so I was able to simply enjoy that moment. <

백상예술대상과 청룡영화상에서는 심사위원들
모두 만장일치로 여우주연상을 ���덕였고
청룡시리즈어워즈에서는 김고은의 OTT 생태계
전체를 견인한 공로를 인정해 줘야 한다며
대상 수상을 끄덕여 대상 주인공으로 영예를 안았고.
김고은이 한국 배우여서 너무 기쁘다는
장재현 감독의 말에 국민들까지 인정하여

수상소감으로 배우라는 직업을 가지고 있는
것에 대해서 하루하루 시간이 지날수록
참 감사하다는 생각이 든다, 본인은 연기가
너무 좋다, 작품을 하는 것이 한 번도
당연하다고 생각한 적이 없으며 매 작품을 촬영할 때,
절실하게 그리고 책임감을 가지고 임하려고
노력한다는 이 마인드부터 박수 쳐주고 싶고
본인한테서 새로운 얼굴을 찾고 싶어지고
호기심이 들 수 있게 정말 열심히 할 테니
더 많이 찾아주고 기회 달라는
이 말 한마디가 왜 이리도 절실하게 들리는지.
본인은 이미 탑배우이며 데뷔 14년차에 커리어도
엄청 탄탄하고 작품 스펙트럼도 폭넓지만
연기, 작품이 너무 간절하고
다작이 꿈이라며 쉬지 않고 매일 열심히
달려오는 이 배우가 상 받을 때마다 매번
어린아이처럼 울며, 기쁨의 눈물을 흘리며
더 열심히 하겠다고 기회를 달라는데
누가 어떻게 안 찾아가겠는가.
이미 연기에 있어 베스트인 부분들을
매우 많이 보여주어 이미 커리어 하이를 넘어섰다,
여기서 그 이상을 어떻게 더 보여줄 수 있냐 싶으면
인터뷰에서 “한계가 없다. 스스로 한계
짓지 않는다.” 라고 언급한 것처럼
본인에게 한계 짓지 않고 여러 캐릭터를
맡아 보여주는 모습들을 보면 캐릭터 성격,
��인트, 발걸음까지 하나하나 다 다르고
어떻게 해야 시청자들에게 몰입감 있게 전할 수
있을지에 대해 캐릭터를 연구한 노력이 전해져
작품이 빛날 수 있지 않았나.
그 다음 작품에서 늘 항상 전 작품 캐릭터가
보이지 않을 정도로 더 고도화된 새로운
부분들을 계속 보여주었기에 김고은의
새 작품이 나온다고 하면 많은 시청자들이
“김고은은 믿고 본다, 이번에도 역시나
연기 잘하네.” 라는 말을 하지 않겠는가.
진짜 김고은의 정교한 연기력과 작품 자체를
장악하는 영향력과 파급력 그리고
티켓 파워까지 더해 절대 무시할 수 없는
어떠한 결정적인 부분이자 사실임.
겹치지 않는 다채로운 부분들을 많이 보여주었기에
다음에는 또 어떤 부분들을 보여줄지에 대한
호기심과 기대감을 안겨주는
천의 얼굴을 지닌 배우라고 생각함.
국민 시청자들 뿐만 아��라 더 가까이서
함께 일하는 동종 업계 사람들에게서
칭��과 사랑받는 배우라 더더욱 기쁘고
또 흐뭇해지며 마음도 놓이고.
이번 수상을 통해 여태까지 노력해온
과정들을 또 한 번 인정받는 것 같아서
덩달아 울컥하고 더 큰 박수 쳐주고 싶어.
그리고 이렇게 수많은 노력들과 본인의 직업을
너무나도 사랑하고 좋아하는 애정이 눈에 보여
김고은의 미래를 더 열심히 응원해 주고 싶어져.
앞으로도 끊임없이 성장해서 훨훨 날아오르는,
더 빛나는 배우가 되길 바랄 거고
정말로 김고은을 이길 수 있는 건
오직 전날의 김고은 뿐일 거라는 생각이 든다.
