All these church hurt stories I have been reading have genuinely pissed me off.
I think what shocks me the most is the level of access some church people had.
In my house, that access did not exist.
My parents did not send us to pastors or church members for correction. If we needed discipline, they handled it themselves.
Again, I stand with my opinion that issues of sexual assault should not be settled in the church!
Church should hand it over to the authorities. It's a criminal offence and should be treated as such.
They will never have waist beads to get job in an Oil company, Gas or Tech.
No beads to get shares and stocks in Tesla, Google or Nvidia.
No waist beads to become secretary of United nations or OPEC
Always beads to get gifts from men.
Such a useless product
Tony Elumelu never misses an opportunity to emphasize the power of luck in his extraordinary journey. It is a powerful reminder that human effort alone does not guarantee success.
For Muslims, this aligns perfectly with the concept of Tawakkul, tying your camel first by working hard, then leaving the outcome entirely to the Allah. What the corporate world calls "luck" or "serendipity," believers recognize as divine favour and grace.
Hard work lays the foundation, but ultimate success belongs to a higher power. Humility in achievement means acknowledging that we are all, ultimately, products of grace and destiny.
As I get older, I’ve realized that one of the most exhausting feelings isn’t heartbreak, it’s uncertainty.
It’s constantly wondering where you stand with people. Questioning whether you’re important to them. Overanalyzing changes in their behavior. Trying to figure out if you’re asking for too much or if you’re simply asking the wrong people.
I genuinely hope we all experience relationships, friendships, and opportunities where we’re never made to feel like we have to earn our place. Where communication is clear, effort is mutual, and love isn’t measured by how much confusion we’re willing to tolerate.
I think peace is being able to go to bed without questioning who values you, because the people who do make it obvious.
My newest prayer is simple: “Lord, settle it.” Settle my mind. Settle my heart. Settle my spirit. Teach me to walk in peace instead of anxiety, and faith instead of fear. 🤍
