🐟EDF want to cancel plans for an Acoustic Fish Deterrent, that would help protect millions of fish in the Severn Estuary
With wildlife in decline we can't allow vital nature protections to be scrapped like this👎
Help us stand up for wildlife👇📝

Attended 2 day 'Fisheries Management' course run by @IFMFish & @EnvAgency at the weekend. Funded by income from rod licences, it was money very well spent. Learnt so much.
I think 2025 should be year of the grayling for me! I haven't properly filmed them for a while now and think its time I updated some of my footage of them.

"There are no indicators which are improving in both the long and short term".
There are some positives in today's nature indicators, but it's clear that huge political effort is needed to halt nature's decline.
Nature-positive planning can help, alongside #netzero development.
🚨Our new research with @theriverstrust shows 85% of English rivers are polluted with bee-killing neonicotinoid pesticides. 🐝This will be harming wildlife in waters across the country.
We need to see:
🚫No more 'emergency use' for the sugar industry
🧑🌾Better rewards for farmers switching from harmful pesticides
🐶The ban extended to flea and tick treatments
💪Well resourced regulators to make pollutors pay
💧A strong strategy to reduce upstream chemical river pollution

The proportion of bathing waters in poor condition is at its highest since measurements began in 2015.
There's more e. coli & enterococci bacteria to swallow where folks should be able to swim.
Storm overflows, road run-off, farming pollution & over-abstraction all need fixing.
