“The more a man indulges in the propensity to blame others or circumstances for his failures, the more disgruntled and ineffective he tends to become.”
— Friedrich Hayek
Today we have a lack of reason, logic, and critical thinking. We have the "'group hugs and safe spaces' trumps logic and reality" party v. the "'ego and chest pounding' trumps logic and reality" party.

The weakening of a sole (realistically) competitor in a two party system, inevitably leads to weakening of progress, perhaps even regression, of society, as well as the opposition party.

@elonmusk Balanced Budget Amendment to The United States Constitution
There is nothing forcing those in power to exercise prudence or fiscal discipline. We must change our model to force necessary, tough decisions, and not enslave future generations with debt. Balanced. No exceptions.
"we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor"
Sure different than ostracizing, shooting, etc, a fellow American for saying, believing, or doing something with which you disagree.
Happy Birthday, America, and Happy 4th to ALL Americans.
Democrats . . . overspend. Republicans . . . overspend. Repeat. When does sanity return to D.C.? AFTER we reach the point of no return? Absurd. Ridiculous. Repugnant.
Thomas Massie delivers a truth bomb on the “Big Beautiful Bill”:
“I’d love to stand here and tell the American people, ‘we can cut your taxes and increase spending and everything will be fine.’ But I can’t...”
@elonmusk Until the debt clock starts moving in the opposite direction, the situation does not even qualify for consideration of "good enough". Keep going, @elonmusk , and let everyone know how we can all help.
@elonmusk , it only seems like genius when it exists in a sea of stupidity. The principles are simple--not difficult to understand. The real tragedy is how few, especially so called "leaders", understand these simple principles.
After sweeping the white house and both houses of congress, Trump now has the opportunity to demonstrate real leadership by extending the olive branch.
If extended, the opposition will have the opportunity to demonstrate they are about what they claim to be, by accepting it.
Government debt is taxation without representation, a tax levied upon future taxpayers, future voters, without representation when incurred. It is a gross injustice.
