@_jopayne I am many years late to this thread, but I’m picking up a gcse sociology class next year, having only ever taught Geography before, as a fellow geographer any tips? Any good resources? I don’t know where to start, I thought I could pick up a textbook and plan it but I’m clueless

My friend is teaching entry level GCSE English from September, with a group of pupils with reading ages of 7-8. Does anyone know which exam board would be best? AQA or Pearson? Is there any twitter people she can follow or a Facebook group? I have tried to search and failed!

@EduCaiti Oh yes! Same with globalisation and superpowers etc I really think, edexcel would be better off having rivers or coasts so they could be done properly and not rushed

@EduCaiti …1 and 3 are far nicer and make up for it to some extent. I do think it’s unfair that AQA are giving their pupils more time for their fieldwork based paper! Hopefully edexcel continues to work on paper 2, it’s a challenge!

@EduCaiti I also brought up how bonkers all the content is in the edexcel B training and they just say well that’s just that bit. But teaching all the erosion so landforms is supposed to be one hour? It does get better because the questions are more nicely written than AQA and papers…

@EduCaiti I found this for the first year or so, coasts and rivers are worth so few marks but have so much content to teach its madness. But one thing I will say is, that once you get the kids writing about the figures in paper 2 8 markets lower ability are able to give that go
