@Peter_Mugridge@au_tom_otive But apparently enough to close our business and several others for 11 consecutive days. In days of baking sun and heavy showers it was quickly evaporated or washed off the road. The road was already wet when it landed too.
@au_tom_otive@Peter_Mugridge Thanks chaps, the info is appreciated. There is a distinct lack of public info. If the revised estimate of 400 litres is accurate, then it is just incredible that they closed and resurfaced a whole 16km of road from Beare Green to M25. That's 25ml/m, -without the M25 & services!
@au_tom_otive @NHTO_7447 @Peter_Mugridge HI All, Did you ever find out any more on this? We were forced to be closed for 11 days as a result and there is still a some sort of media blackout. its very odd
@Jess_n1@EnvAgency Hi Jess, Did you ever get any more info on this? there's some sort of cover up going on as the reported amount changed from 16000 to 400 litres (over 16km!) but from what we've seen that makes no sense. There is also virtually no news about it - but we had to close for 11 days!
After sunniest June since 1996 in London we’re now looking at dullest July since 2009, it matches very closely also in temperature and rainfall distribution.
Similarly, El Niño year, which started with La Nina like this one. 2009/10 winter was coldest since 1978/79 in U.K.
Congratulations to @DoKSchool student, Maddie Instone, for reaching the top 10 of The Young Songwriter 2023 competition #youngsongwriter#SAYS23#creativity https://t.co/FWlrmq4LWd
Hey @thameswater your new edm map is a good move forwards - but only if it tells the truth…. The map says Littlemead CSO stopped discharging sewage at 11-30am today but it is now nearly 14-30 and it is still spewing it’s vile contents into the adjacent brook.
"Thames Water braced for crunch talks over £14bn debt-pile."
@thameswater in money troubles. So what's happening that £1.6bn to be spent on the sewage system or is that the same £1.5bn announced last July needed to bail the company out? @MarkKleinmanSky

@sallythomsett @TimeForAFilm @BAFTA I only wish I had his wit to reply to them! There was probably no malice in the mistake - it was just basic incompetence. One simply can't argue he didn't make a some cracking films, The Railway Children alone is enough as an all time classic. Saying sorry would go a long way.
@sallythomsett @TimeForAFilm That they made the glaring mistake in the first place is appalling and upsetting for so many of us. That @BAFTA have failed to offer an apology 24 hours later is frankly unforgivable. #cockwombles
@BAFTA@hehekarlahaha ...and you are very sorry that Bernard was omitted by mistake? That is what you need to say. It is not difficult. #cockwombles seems singularly appropriate!
@BAFTA@VixenPPowell There was him
Standing up there
So grand and official
With his nose in the air
@BAFTA you would do well to show a little humility and respect. Admit this huge mistake and apologise. Bernard Cribbins was a great film actor. He will not be forgotten.
@PGcomms@YvonneArnaud@VisitSurrey@GuildfordBig Where’s that time gone? …. It’s behind you (of course) . Keep up the good work - we came last week and it was fantastic ! You’ll have to do it again now.
@VodafoneBiz how do you justify Mon-Fri only business customer service when so many businesses runs 24-7? It is 2022 not 1972 . Mobile phones and support is essential. Complete let down.
