Today at UBEC, we signed an important Public-Private Partnership with DLN to transform basic education in Nigeria.

This project will provide 47 million laptops and tablets to learners and teachers across pre-primary, primary, and junior secondary schools at zero cost to the Federal and State Governments. Alongside the devices, there will be free data access to AI-assisted learning content, teacher training in partnership with NTI, and regional hubs for assembling and distributing devices, which will create jobs and build local expertise.

This partnership is in line with the Renewed HOPE Agenda of Mr. President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the National Policy on Education, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is a testament to our collective commitment with the Presidency, the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, and our partners to bridge the digital divide, improve access, and raise the quality of basic education for every Nigerian child, no matter their location or background.

Today’s MOU marks another milestone in fulfilling our mandate at UBEC.
