Six years ago today, #KumbalangiNights was released. It became a landmark film in Malayalam cinema, earning significant pan-Indian recognition, attracting non-Malayali audiences to our cinema, and cementing Fahadh Faasil as India’s leading actor.
My issue with Indian cricket grounds.
We have the money, more than anywhere in the world
We even understand hospitality, in our homes, & in our hotels which offer amazing service.
Why can't we offer the best on-ground experience?
Watching live cricket in India is a punishment.
One of my friends cracked a government job paying 40K/month, but he is way more respected than my peers, earning over 1 lakh a month.
This tells a lot about our society.
Son,
Banks treat you nicely when you are rich.
Companies treat you nicely when you are skilled.
Women treat you nicely when you are handsome and rich.
Men are loved conditionally.
Nobody gives you sympathy if you're weak, poor, and broke as a man.
In India, everyone seems to be fighting with each other:
[1] Reserved vs unreserved
[2] Direct tax payers vs freeloaders
[3] Fight on religion
[4] Veg vs non-vegetarians
[5] BJP vs Congress vs AAP
[6] Soros vs non-Soros gangs
Every day there is some new fuel added to the fire.
No one bothers about building better systems
If any fault is pointed: we go back fighting on one of the above 6 points.
System does not improve.
People get used to corruption.
And, we keep celebrating 4Tr/5Tr economy, where 60% people have to survive on food subsidy.
Most people forget the absolute basic principle of prosperity: without peace, there is no prosperity.
