He escapes prison and forms a group of revolutionaries with the sole aim of driving the British out of India. Guest of Honour: Santosh Anand, renowned lyricist, who wrote the memorable superhit song “Zindagi Ki Na Toote Ladi” for film, Kranti. Collab. NFDC-National Film Archive of India.

* The print of Kranti (1981) has been preserved at the National Film Archive of India for several years. This archival preservation has enabled audiences to experience it on the big screen once again, 45 years after its original theatrical release.

A celebration of cinema in its original format, the club brings back the unforgettable experience of watching films on authentic 35mm prints.
To mark this milestone, join us for a special screening of Kranti (1981, Dir. Manoj Kumar) from an archival 35mm print—an opportunity to experience this classic on the big screen, 45 years after its original theatrical release.

As one of the few institutions in India that still operates 35mm projectors, this launch also celebrates the very equipment that began Habitat's film journey 28 years ago.
