Hope you all had a Merry Christmas! I’ve been wondering for a while now. Do schools that have freshman teams ever put freshman on JV or Varisty? Or is it freshman on freshman team only no exceptions?

@IHSAcheer Tinley Park were back to back state champs in 2007 and 2008 in the medium division

Of the 12 state championships held, Jeff Siegal has 8 of them, all in the Co-ed Division.

Conant was the first to compete 1-1/2 ups

Sandburg was the first and only to compete a low to high the first year they were legalized

Conant was the first non SWSC to win state in the Large division in 2010

Lockport had 2 falls in 2008 and still won by over two points. Dang 👀

State 2008 was only one day instead of the regular two days. They only had Saturday to compete.

Elk Grove was the first back to back coed champion
Lockport was the first back to back in large
Lemont was the first back to back in the medium Division
Columbia was the first back to back in the small division

Let’s go all the way back to the year 2006. That year had more than 25 teams in the coed division perform. There so few teams in the division, they let everyone go!
