Update on the man who murdered my mom:

Many have asked for an update over the last year, so here it is. For those who don’t know, after 34 years of not knowing my birth family, I found my brothers & sisters, my grandma, aunt, etc. Sadly, though, I learnt that my mom, who would only be in her mid 50’s now, was murdered awhile back when I was 9. When one of my brothers was young, and found out someone killed our mother, he made it his mission to become a police officer and one day find & arrest the killer. Despite the man fleeing to Mexico after killing her.

When my brother graduated the police academy, he was gifted a pair of handcuffs that he was told to use on the first person he arrested. He instead said he’d use it on the man who murdered our mother, despite the chances of that being outrageously slim. But for years on years he never gave up, and in the fall of 2024 he put in our sibling group chat that he may have located the man. He did. The man was brought into the US and my brother was able to put those very same handcuffs, that said our mother’s name, Sarah Jane Carr, on her killer. It was an incredible moment of justice for our family. The murder trial was supposed to be recent, and despite absolutely knowing the right person was caught & arrested, he’s been released because after 27 years the DNA & witness don’t hold up as much as they lawfully need to.

It’s obviously gutting for my brother & all of us. But giving up is not in our blood and maybe it’s delusional but I do believe justice will eventually be served. It’s been a blessing to get to grow close with my family and learn so much about my mother. Despite her not being physically around, I feel very connected to her.

Tell your loved ones something nice today. Your time with them is precious 💙

Andy Jacobs: "Levi Colwill got injured on the first day of pre-season and Enzo Maresca begged the board to give him a ball playing centre-half. So, they went out and spent £90million on Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho — that's how useless these people are."

W Rocket League giving credit where it's due to @jynxzi

I've seen tons of creators step up in the Rocket League scene recently, especially on YouTube shout out:

@ApparentlyJxck
@Retals
@_Flitz
@Lethamyr_RL
@amustycow
@MizuRL
@striped
@mrnapkinn
@SquishyMuffinz
@TenacityTv_
@UuestR
@Evample2
@SunlessKhan
@ArsenalRL
@Joyokamii
@BeastModeLK
@MERTZY

I've always said that content isn't a zero-sum game. A rising tide lifts all ships. In this case, Jynxzi coming to Rocket League gave it a surge of popularity, which made everyone listed here work harder to create better videos, which in turn helped the game grow.

This doesn't even mention the countless creators making one-off videos on YouTube (I saw a video the other day from a guy who photoshopped RL screenshots, and had his friends guess what was wrong, which went viral).

Glad to see that Rocket League content is thriving (obviously self-interested). Keep up the good work fellas.

Chelsea have now conceded more than one goal in 20 different games this season. Of the 28 conceded that were 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th goals, they have conceded goals within 15 minutes of each other nine times. Goals within 30 minutes of each other takes that tally to 17. Statistically speaking, 60.7% of the time, Chelsea’s reaction to taking a second hard punch is letting their opponents land a crippling third.
