@Leafywashere00@jricole I’ve already translated Juan’s book into Arabic, and it was published recently. It is such an outstanding work that it would be difficult for any competing academic book to rival it.
@dmontetheno1 I translated Holger's The Qurʾān’s Reformation into Arabic and also read his latest book, The Law Beyond Israel. What struck me most is his tendency toward excessive digression and repetition, and I doubt this new paper adds much beyond arguments he has already made elsewhere.
@chonkshonk1@Rurouni_Phoenix Are not the Abrahamic religions’ true and established origin found in monotheism? Why, then, should it not serve as the criterion by which we understand their stories?

For example, Joseph’s story is very similar, but its only difference—connecting it to monotheism—makes it more authentic and original.
Btw, the word “deviations” is theological.
