#Breaking: President Abdirahman Cirro to Address Westminster Africa Business Group at the UK House of Commons
The President of the Republic of #Somaliland, HE @Abdirahmanirro , has been invited as a Guest of Honor and keynote speaker at a special event hosted by the Westminster Africa Business Group at the House of Commons in the United Kingdom.
During the event, President Cirro will address key issues including trade and investment, regional economic growth, infrastructure and energy opportunities, and the policies shaping Africa’s commercial partnerships.
The Westminster Africa Business Group regularly convenes global leaders, ambassadors, UK policymakers, senior business executives, and African diplomats. On this occasion, the President will meet with high-level officials, investors, and representatives from both the UK and across Africa.
This engagement represents a significant diplomatic milestone for Somaliland — offering strategic political access and a valuable international platform to attract investment and showcase its growing role in regional diplomacy, trade, and economic development, particularly in the Horn of Africa.

.@SecGenNATO Mark Rutte is absolutely correct: Thanks to President Trump, our European partners have stepped up and reached the two-percent defense spending target.
President Trump is the most consequential president of our lifetime.
I explained on @NewsCentralTV that @Somaliland has the strongest legal and historical case for statehood, and that the lack of recognition has everything to do with politics and nothing to do with international law.

Iranian ships have arrived in South Africa to participate in a military exercise
The commander of the Iranian Navy's 103rd ship group announced today that the ship group, including the aircraft carrier "Makran" and the destroyer "Shaheed Naqdi" of the Army Navy and the ship "Shaheed Mahdavi" of the Revolutionary Guards Navy, arrived after 50 days of sailing in the Persian Gulf, the Sea of Oman, the Indian Ocean, and the Mozambique Channel, at Simon's Town port to participate in the "Peace Will 2026" exercise to be held at the Cape of Good Hope for eight days hosted by South Africa, in the presence of more than 20 naval and air combat units from Iran, Russia, China, South Africa, Ethiopia, the United Arab Emirates, and Indonesia.
Ethiopia’s quest for maritime access is rooted in national interest. Access to the sea is indispensable for sustaining trade and safeguarding economic sovereignty. Continued dependence on external ports exposes structural vulnerabilities.

We thank the Foreign Minister of the State of Israel for his historic visit to Somaliland following recognition. This visit sends a clear message: Somaliland–Israel relations are not symbolic, but evolving into a comprehensive strategic partnership. Somalia’s false claims do not change the reality on the ground—this is our land and we govern it. This relationship is intended to advance economic development, peace, and regional stability. #SomalilandRecognition
The recognition of the Republic of Somaliland is always morally the right thing to do. Despite being isolated for over 35 years. Despite being illegally annexed for 65 years. Somalilanders will never compromise on democratic will.
