What started as a small experiment in applied AI training reminded us why alumni-led programmes matter. IIMCAA Care Fund will take this learning forward and organise more such skill-building initiatives in the months ahead.
What began as an experiment in artificial intelligence (AI) upskilling, became a continuous learning journey!
The third and fourth sessions of IIMCAA Care Fund’s AI Masterclass were conducted on September 19, 2026 and September 26, 2026. The fourth and concluding session at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, was attended by several participants who received their completion certificates from chief guest Dr. K. G. Suresh, Director, India Habitat Centre in the presence of Mr. Nitin Pradhan, Chairman, IIMCAA Care Fund and Mr. Sushil Singh, President, IIMCAA. Office bearers of IIMCAA including Mr. Atul Gupta, General Secretary, IIMCAA, Ms. Deeksha Saksena, Treasurer, IIMCAA, along with IIMCAA Care Fund trustees, Dr Simrat Gulati, Ms. Gayatri Rath, Mr. Animesh Biswas, Mr. Ritesh Verma and several alumni volunteers were present.
Led by alumnus and Editor-in-chief, PR Moment India, Ms. Paarul Chand, the concluding session focused on one of the most rapidly evolving applications of AI in communication: visual asset generation.
The session built on the previous class, conducted online on September 19, which took participants through the practical use of AI for research, verification and audience-specific communication. Through a hands-on case study, participants worked with the same brief to create both a news story and a press release.
In their feedback at the end of the last session the participants shared their experience and recommended continuation of AI learning. The first AI Masterclass may have concluded, but the learning does not have to. 01/03

Responding to a demand from our alumni to learn practical use of artificial intelligence (AI) in media work, IIMCAA Care Fund has launched its first-ever AI Masterclass for Journalism & Communication professionals. Spread over four weekend sessions, the curriculum covers mastering prompt writing for media content, refining media content with AI, translation of media stories, structuring information and turning raw facts into news stories. Each session includes hands-on learning experience using easily available AI tools.
The first session on August 22, 2026, was built around making AI useful in everyday media work. It was structured to help participants to hack real-world challenges.
Subsequent sessions for the current batch of participants are planned for September 12, 19 and 26.
