Fact is 90% of our soaps in Nigeria are actually not skin friendly because they are mostly Alkaline. From PH of 7.5 and above

Syndet Bar soaps like dove, Cetaphil, Sabamed which have a pH of 5.5 are the best for your skin barrier since your skin is meant to be a pH of 4.5-5.5
