Age, higher education, occupation, and gender are key factors predicting participation in adult learning.
"To prolong working lives ... it is therefore important that policies focus on breaking existing path dependencies, so lower educated workers participate more often in adult learning and CVET activities and thereby are better equipped to extend working lives."
