My M2 MacBook Air was my favorite Mac out of every one I’ve ever owned. I replaced it with an M3 Max MacBook Pro, but I really think I’ll go back for M5 because the Air’s battery life and lightness is just unbeatable. I could not recommend it more!
I learned two differences between Germany and France.
1. Beer is cheaper in Germany than in France
2. Germans obey crosswalk Walk/Don’t walk signals, the French don’t pay any attention at all.
@seanallen_dev Have you discovered a problem using SwiftData with the Xcode RC? I have it installed on two Macs and the compiler complains that I am missing a Macro so @Model cannot be resolved. Can you confirm this behavior @seanallen_dev?
@StewartLynch did Apple break SwiftData in the RC of Xcode. I am not able to use it. I get an error because the macro cannot be generated. Can you confirm this behavior? Is there a fix?
Did you know that .onChange method in SwiftUI can also capture the old ore previous value? Just enclose the value in []
.onChange(of: someValue) { [someValue], newValue in
print(someValue, newValue)
}
@StewartLynch I like your videos and format. You are thorough and cite your references. Perhaps tweets like the one you shared is an indication of a failing education system where rigor and deep understanding is de-emphasized.
Did you know you can embed Text views inside other Text views in SwiftUI? Or use Markdown and attributed strings to stylize your text? Check out my latest video to see how.

@StewartLynch I have learned so much from you about Swift and SwiftUI. Thank you for introducing me to Ducky. I love the app and use it every chance I get. Right now, that is daily. https://t.co/MapQsuz3MG
@tiborbodecs I use both. I tend to prefer B when stylistically the code is more readable. I also use B when there are longer lists of initialization values. If I am creating a collection, I would rather use A for each element.
@StewartLynch They likely have 3 roommates. That is how it was in San Francisco and San Jose back in the 90's. Denver CO is not much better either. That's where I live.
@EmmaBostian By the seventh and eighth, you pretty much give them food and let themselves grow up. Nah, really it sounds hackneyed, but it does get easier with time! Take the attitude of "Make tough easier!" Think of it as working out for a marathon.
@StewartLynch Without the emoji, I would have taken the tweet at face value that he liked your video and gave you ad credit by watching the ad. But the emoji suggests he is laughing to tears, which seems the opposite is true. I have an unambiguous comment for you. I love your videos!
