Air India has improved since privatization though - they're purchasing plenty of new aircraft plus many older planes are getting their interior refurbished + improved service; something the govt mismanaged airline failed to do miserably.
Private firms getting closed due to better competitors is much better than a loss making government monopolies that keep draining taxpayer money.
