Sadly today I will be leaving Bohemia Interactive sim. However in a week and a bit I will joining the amazing team working on Star citizen as a prop artist. @CloudImperium! #theverse#StarCitizen#CIG
Fancy a cheeky look around cyberpunk with @CDPROJEKTRED@Darthsebious
Well join us as I was incredibly lucky to have a tour with him and learn about some of the thoughts that go into making this masterpiece

@Camural_SC@RobertsSpaceInd Hey there! To give some clarity, the colour issue will be fixed, the reason being the file which determines the tint (the colour set) it uses wasn’t added to the patch build which I’ve fixed. So it will come soon, apologies
I hate to make this post, but I've been unemployed for 8 months now and my freelance work has totally dried up.
Things are getting pretty scary.
I'm a 3D hardsurface artist with 4+ years of experience working in games, manufacturing, and marketing.
Open to any opportunities.
@JaviSkau A quick extra. we tend to see people clearly have the skills and good modelling fundamentals, but lack execution, rendering in low texture resolutions or with meh lighting. I’ve seen a good amount where they’re high poly looks great but the textures and renders let it down.
@JaviSkau found reviewing some portfolios general issues tend to be over scoping, trying to design they’re own art . General advice I would give is, you’re only as good as your worst piece so make sure you’re consistent. And be your own critic, compare your work to industry work
I also got sick of opening photoshop to create dials. so here is https://t.co/HQ1TJEWAb5 where you can create your own. Save presets. Export as png/svg.
have fun
@DanM3D@RobertsSpaceInd As a origin style fan, the ironclad has to be one of the best looking and most advanced ships in the game technically, the entire team should be incredibly proud of this wonderful ship, amazing work
@TheRooster I’m sure ‘At dead of night’ did a very similar thing, amazing game and great story telling some great acting too blurring the lines of film and games. Would be cool to see it utilised more but the execution has got to be good, but wouldn’t say this is anything new.
Geometry that’s literally unusable in any way, as a high poly its bad as a low poly it’s bad AI model generators are nothing but a gimmick that’s never actually used in practice. At best it’ll make my LOD’s which would be the best thing for it
Thanks guys. I'll be honest though, the first time I saw your mesh generation create this I was crestfallen. It was like watching years of skills just vanish in a moment. It's that good.
Eventually I realized I can now make bigger scenes and bigger ideas. But the first reaction for most artists is likely going to be sadness😂
