Building a Healthier Nigeria Through Stronger Healthcare Systems

As part of our desire and commitment to building a healthier Nigeria, I met with some healthcare professionals and experts in the United States on Friday, June 5, 2026. The meeting was essentially to deepen my understanding of how successful health insurance systems deliver improved healthcare, especially in the areas of primary and emergency care.

One of our key health objectives remains unchanged: to expand health insurance coverage, strengthen primary healthcare across our electoral wards, train more healthcare workers, and make quality healthcare accessible and affordable for all Nigerians.

A New Nigeria must be a healthier Nigeria.

UPDATE: I finally got her contact and spoke with her this morning.
She’s doing very well, married with two beautiful kids, aged 9 and 6.

We spoke for about 40 minutes, catching up on old gist like we never left school. The conversation flowed so naturally.

At the end, I thanked her profusely for the recommendation she gave me back then. I told her that single act gave me the push I needed in life. Before we hung up, I asked for her account number and sent her something huge while we were still on the phone.

She screamed in disbelief, she couldn’t believe it.
I told her I just wanted to come back and properly appreciate her. I asked her not to be a stranger and to call me anytime she needs anything.

She’ll be my friend for life. ❤️
