When putting together ⚽️ highlight 🎥
Without going into each position:
Players need to take what they do best, what separates them from everyone else, & hit the coach hard with that in the 1st 30seconds
Maybe it’s smashing shots, vicious tackles, crazy speed on recovery runs, towering headers, massive switches with both feet, etc, you get the idea
From there players need to demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of the game.
⚽️Passes of 10, 20, 40, 60+ yds with both feet, falling & driven balls
⚽️Winning 50/50 challenges on the ground & in the air.
⚽️1st touch
⚽️Ability to read the game & break lines
⚽️Ability to play in tight spaces
⚽️Tackles
⚽️Finishing
⚽️Assists
⚽️Recovery runs
⚽️Set Plays
Etc
Basically any & all movements required from our game
All of that boiled down to 3-5 min
Then include 1-2 full match links
For keepers 🧤 it’s the same but with the skill sets required for their position
No music. No slow motion. No sped up film. No text explanation of what we are watching. No closeups.
Film from elevated positions.

6 TIPS TO IMPROVE YOUR RONDO:
Nowadays, some coaches use the Rondo as a recreational game.
This thread will give you 6 tips to improve your Rondo.
Are you ready to improve your Rondos in 6 minutes?
Let's start! 👇👇👇
THREAD:
1v1s are incredibly important situations for GKs to master as they correspond to 35% of all goals scored in the 19/20 #PremierLeague!
In this thread I will show how effective various 1v1 strategies are at making saves.
I’m sure #GKcoaches will be v interested in this!
How to stop fast attackers?
• Scan frequently
• Have side-on body positioning
• Be on your front foot at all times & use fast footwork
• Adjust your position constantly to get access to strikers
• Block the striker‘s runs
Watch how elite defenders like #RubenDias do it. ⚽️
High school and youth sports are so valuable because they get at our basic psychological needs:
-We belong
-We can make progress
-We can have an impact
It's not about achievements. It's having a space to challenge ourselves in a healthy way.
Don't ruin sports, parents!
When you follow a leader, consider what would lead you to withdraw your support.
If the answer is nothing, your integrity is in jeopardy. Your highest loyalty belongs to principles, not people.
No leader deserves unconditional love. Commitment is earned through character.
@hatrik10 @Kentifa_ He sobered up. Left a broken whiskey bottle and bullets on the ground. Tossed his gun in the river on the drive home. It was 'decidedly inconvenient' the gun was never recovered to match bullets in the victims. This is one of my all time fav shows.
Remember the first touch Kroos uses to "dribble" past opponents?
Thiago takes it to a new level: he purposefully uses "poor" body orientation when receiving to invite his opponent to tackle, then aims the first touch behind him and turns, using his rival's momentum against them.
This is really basic yet so few actually coach this. Most times I see a Rondo it's just grab assing, no thought, no connection with a teams principles
Spend 15 to 20min as an activation with just a few principles and watch how fast it translates to other more complex games
Did you communicate this with your teammate..verbal or visual?
Did 2nd player close the space?
Did 2nd player keep play in front?
(Again this will all be about angles and not letting play get behind you, very different from just blind aggression)
