Think of all the nonchalant and less than crisp throws you’ve made in your life.

Those nonchalant and lazy throws compound to form bad habits over time. Don’t give them a chance to be created in the first place.

Exactly! If the left fielder bobbles the ball or the throw scoots away a bit, the runner gets to second.

THIS is how you take a turn around first base when the outfield has to range for the ball.

(Especially to LF when you have a great angle to see the incoming throw.)

If you aren't trying to put pressure on the defense on this type of batted ball, why are you even playing???
