🇮🇷 Iranian media says up to 43 million people attended the funeral ceremonies for slain Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

The 6-day event spanned 5 cities: Tehran, Qom, Najaf, Karbala, and Mashhad.

State outlet Press TV called it "the largest procession the world has ever witnessed."

Delegations from Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, and the Houthis attended.

Khamenei was buried at the country's holiest Shia shrine, more than four months after a U.S.-Israeli strike killed him at his Tehran compound.

That would put nearly half the country in the streets, as Iran's population is around 90 million.

Whether those numbers are real is another story entirely.
