In multiple terms in Office, this is by far one of the most horrific crimes I have seen yet in Pinellas County.

You cannot rehabilitate a predator. The victims will never be able to get back the innocence that was taken from them and in a way, they have had their lives stolen by this monster. He must pay for what he did. And in this case, it must be with his life.

I am formally requesting that @AGJamesUthmeier receive jurisdiction of this case and seek the death penalty. The victims (who are children) deserve nothing less.

Date: June 19.
• Origin: On June 19, 1865, Union Army General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, and issued General Order No. 3, announcing that the Civil War was over and that all enslaved people in Texas were now free. This came more than two months after Confederate General Robert E. Lee’s surrender at Appomattox (April 9, 1865) and over two years after President Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation (effective January 1, 1863).
• Why Texas? Texas was one of the last Confederate states to fully enforce emancipation, partly because it was far from the main theaters of the Civil War and had seen relatively little Union occupation until the very end. News of freedom traveled slowly to the approximately 250,000 enslaved people there.
