Приказ о пытках погибшей в плену РФ украинской журналистки Рощиной отдал лично начальник СИЗО № 2 в Таганроге. В этом изоляторе в Ростовской области "была организована система репрессивного обращения с удерживаемыми гражданами Украины", в числе жертв - Виктория Рощина и другие гражданские лица, указывается в заявлении Офиса генпрокурора Украины.

Журналистка-фрилансер Виктория Рощина в августе 2023 года пропала без вести на оккупированной российскими войсками территории Украины. В октябре 2024 года отец Рощиной получил письмо из министерства обороны РФ, в котором утверждалось, что Виктория умерла 19 сентября в российском плену. В феврале 2025 года тело журналистки было возвращено на родину без нескольких внутренних органов - отсутствовали глазные яблоки, мозг, часть гортани, а подъязычная кость была сломана. Представитель Офиса генпрокурора Украины Юрий Белоусов сообщил о следах жестоких пыток - кровоизлияниях по всему телу, сломанном ребре и следах от применения электротока на стопах.

Систематические пытки и психологическое давление на погибшую в российском плену Рощину лично организовал начальник СИЗО в Таганроге, гласят результаты досудебного расследования. "Действия фигуранта квалифицированы как военное преступление в соответствии с международными стандартами", - сообщили в Киеве, ему грозит до 12 лет лишения свободы.

"Подозреваемый отдавал себе отчет, что журналистка является гражданским лицом, участие в вооруженном конфликте не принимала и имеет соответствующий статус, гарантированный ей международным гуманитарным правом, однако сознательно нарушил нормы Жене��ской конвенции и других международных договоров", - подчеркивает Офис генпрокурора Украины.

Elon Musk says that no one has died because he slashed humanitarian aid. I went to South Sudan to check if that's true. It's not. Within an hour of starting interviews, I had the names of a 10-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl who had died because of decisions by wealthy men in Washington.
The visit that moved me the most was to a remote area that used to have no health care, where women routinely died in childbirth. Then a US-funded maternity clinic opened through @UNFPA in December, and not one woman has died since. I showed up, and people mistakenly thought I was responsible for the clinic. One new mom wanted to name her baby for me, and the village elders thanked me and hailed America's generosity. What they didn't know was that Trump/Musk had cut all funding for UNFPA and that as a result the maternity clinic will close this month, and women will once again be bleeding to death in the dust.
