Five Muslim Students returning to Jamia area from Jantar Mantar were detained by the police near @jmiu_official and taken to the police station. Social activist Zeba Khan @zeba_kh_an and the reporter Afzal Alam @afzalalamjmi chased the police vehicle and freed all the Students.
Hello @DelhiPolice, Why were they detained, is it a crime to participate in Jantar Mantar protest?
Why are young Students from the Jamia area being treated like criminals just for participating in the protest?

तस्वीर में दिखाई दे रहे शख़्स (मुहम्मद जुनैद) से शायद ही कोई अंजान होगा,
जुनैद साहब जंतर मंतर पर प्रोटेस्टर्स को पिछले एक महीने से खाना/पानी बाँट रहे हैं जुनैद ने कई मर्तबा अपनी वीडियोज़ में कहा था कि 'जंतर मंतर पर कोई धर्म नहीं है यहां इंसानियत है' और एक वीडियो में कहा था कि 'चाहे मेरा कुछ भी हो जाये, चाहे मेरे घर पर बुल्डोज़र चल जाये' तो भी मैं ख़िदमत करना बंद नहीं करूंगा

अब ख़बर आ रही है कि उत्तर प्रदेश पुलिस ने कल रात इनके वालिद को घर से उठा लिया है और इनके छोटे नाबालिग भाई के आईडी कार्ड, बैंक पासबुक भी जमा कर लिए हैं सिर्फ़ इतना ही नहीं, जुनैद की बहन की शादी मेरठ में हुई थी। पुलिस ने वहां जाकर इनकी बहन के ससुर साहब और देवर को भी उठा लिया है बदले में पुलिस वाले जुनैद साहब से कह रहे हैं कि वो जंतर मंतर से लौट आयें अब देखते हैं कितने जंतर मंतर के स्टेज वाले क्रांतिकारी जुनैद के लिए आगे आते हैं। जुनैद के परिवार को अपना परिवार मानकर उनकी सिक्युरिटी की ज़िम्मेदारी उठाएंगे। जिस तरह से जुनैद साहब ने जंतर मंतर पर 'इंसानियत का परचम' उठाया हुआ था, क्या वो लोग अब जुनैद साहब के लिए भी 'इंसानियत का परचम' उठाएंगे?

जुनैद ख़िदमत करने में और गंगा-जमुनी तहज़ीब वाले लेक्चर देने में इतना खो गये कि वो भूल बैठे कि वो एक मुसलमान हैं और उनका नाम 'मुहम्मद जुनैद' है।
