Ramadan is over,
Arafah is over,
Dhul-Hijjah is over…
but guess what…
Your Kind Lord, the One who wants to see you win, has given you Ashura. Another day, another opportunity.
Islam does not forbid marriage in Muharram and there is no reference in the Quran that says otherwise. If someone's personal choice pisses you off simply because it doesn't align with your beliefs you should seek help. Stop playing the Islamic card to boost your fragile ego.
Muharram is not a month of mourning. There have been 124000 Sahabas & Prophets in Islam. If we start mourning for everyone, we can't marry throughout the year. Also, mourning is followed by the actual event of death, not repeatedly every year on the same day.
Today is the day of Ashura, so make sure you:
- Fast today and tomorrow as well, if you missed today.
- Increase in dua, dhikr and salawat
- Do lots of istighfar
- Read the Quran
- Give sadaqah
May Allah accept our efforts, امين
Don't miss fasting on Ashura, it will wipe away your previous sins and give you a new beginning, provided you leave your sins after seeking sincere tawbah, In’Sha Allah!
O believers! Always turn to Him in repentance, be mindful of Him, and establish prayers. And do not be polytheists like those who have divided their faith and split into sects, each rejoicing in what they have.
[Sūrah Ar-Rūm, Verse 31-32]
