जामिया के छात्र और AISA से जुड़े सौरभ त्रिपाठी और उनके कुछ साथियों को दिल्ली पुलिस ने प्रदर्शन के दौरान करीब 4 बजे INA से हिरासत में लिया था, जिसके बाद उन्हें संजय कॉलोनी पुलिस चौकी ले जाया गया. सौरभ का आरोप है कि पुलिस ने उन्हें और उनके साथ निखिल, हार्दिक व फिदील को बेरहमी से पीटा है. इनके शरीर पर चोटों के निशान हैं. फिलहाल पुलिस ने 8-10 घंटों की हिरासत के बाद देर रात पंडित मदनमोहन मालवीय अस्पताल में मेडिकल कराने के बाद सभी को रिहा कर दिया.

सवाल ये नहीं है कि प्रदर्शन कैसा रहा और कैसा नहीं. सवाल तो ये है कि गांधी के आज़ाद देश में अपने हक़ के लिए प्रदर्शन करने से रोकने के लिए ट्रेनें रद्द कर दी गईं, हज़ारों सुरक्षाकर्मी तैनात कर दिए गए और लोगों को घरों में कैद रहने पर मजबूर कर दिया गया. सिर्फ प्रदर्शनकारियों को ही नहीं, पत्रकारों तक को हिरासत में ले लिया गया. सड़कों पर बदसलूकी हुई. आख़िर अपने ही देश में विरोध की आवाज़ उठाना इतना बड़ा गुनाह कैसे हो गया?
